Beer batter recipe

This recipe for beer batter is easy and quick, especially if you already have a beer in your house. All the ingredients can be found in your standard kitchen. No fancy ingredients are needed! This batter is perfect for deep-frying fish.


  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • One egg, beaten
  • One teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups beer, or more to taste


    1. Combine the flour, black pepper, garlic powder, and egg in a medium-sized bowl. Add 1 cup of beer and whisk until smooth. If desired, thin the batter by adding up to 1/2 cup more beer.
