Fried ice cream

We decided to skip it. We decided to avoid it. We coat the ice cream with crunchy, buttery cornflakes, which are toasted separately to give it a fried taste. Next, try it with Chocolate Death Ice Cream!

Here’s what you need to know to fry ice cream.

Pour ice cream on a baking tray and freeze it for an hour. Beat three large eggwhites with a fork in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine cornflakes with cinnamon and sugar.

Then roll the ice cream in cornflakes and press to coat. Place back onto a baking sheet, and freeze until solid.

Heat canola oil in a large pot to 375deg. Fry each ice cream piece for 20 seconds.

Directions

    1. Step 1: Place a small sheet tray with parchment paper into the freezer. Place ice cream in 4 balls on the sheet tray. While making the cereal mixture, please keep it in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
    2. Step 2In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add the corn cereal and cinnamon, and occasionally stir until golden. This should take 5 to 7 mins. Stir in sugar and remove from heat. Place in a shallow dish and allow to cool.
    3. Step 3Remove the ice cream balls and roll them in the cereal mixture. Serve immediately with sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry.
